Waltzing Waters - Aqua Theatre: An elaborate water, light and music spectacular in Newtonmore.

Climbing & Hill-Walking: With the famous Cairngorm Mountains a short distance from Aviemore, and various other designated routes throughout the area, visitors are spoilt for choice.

Folk Museum & Park: Take a trip into the past and learn more about how people used to live and work.

Fishing: Salmon and Trout fishing on the world-famous River Spey, and the lochs and rivers throughout the area.

Landmark Heritage Park: A fun day out with a host of attractions and activities to watch and take part in.

Golf: With 4 nine hole and 4 eighteen hole courses all within a 30 mile radius visitors can enjoy all aspects of Highland Golf at very competitive rates. Boat of Garten Golf Course is an 18 hold golf course which is beautiful but demanding.

Heather Centre: Award wining garden centre with its own gift shop and cafe/restaurant.

Horse Riding: There are many different centers throughout the valley offering guided tours.

Loch Morlich Watersports: All kinds of watersports are catered for from sailing to windsurfing, canoeing to rowing. Equipment hire and expert instruction are available.

Quads & Off Road Driving: There are a couple of centers a short drive from Aviemore where you can experience the drive of a lifetime.

RSPB Reserves : There are bird and wildlife reserves at Loch Insh (famous for its marshes), and at Loch Garten (with its Osprey hide) & Abernethy (Caledonian Pine Forest).

Steam Railway: Travel between Aviemore and Boat of Garten on a traditional Steam Train.

Whisky & Castle Trails: A short drive north east takes you right into the heart of whisky country with a large choice of distilleries to visit. This area is also home to some of the grandest castles in the country.

Highland Wildlife Park: Find out more about Scottish Wildlife past and present. Encounter native species from bison & lynx to otter & red deer and much more. An excellent day out for all the family.

Cairngorm Sled Dogs : For an afternoon to remember venture out with the Cairngorm Sled Dogs, or take it further with an 2 day Sled Dog course.
